Placed in a privileged environment, in full Costa Daurada, the Port Segur-Calafell him a natural enclave of the region of the Baix Penedès. The entrance of Port Segur-Calafell account with a width almost of 60 meters and a water depth of 7, being the minimum water depth of the Harbour of 3 meters. To give our 525 moorages room 725 linear m of jetties and 1250 m of dock, of skylight type or of blocks of concrete continuous, have been constructed; and 325 m of the wet already existing one have been rehabilitated.
The work endowing necessaries of a harbour with first level on the jetties and tongs of the services and facilities has been completed (moorages, turrets, slipway, tray for the travelift, petrol station, zone of dry navy...) together with the housing development of the inner space of the port, and the construction of the building of Captaincy, of 347 m2, of two buildings of services, of 60 m2, and of a warehouse of 200 m2.
Year 1995: The competition is won for the constitution of a Company of Mixed Economics for the Remodelling, Enlargement and Exploitation of the Harbour of Calafell.
Year 1998: The Trading Company is constituted.
March 2003: The plenum of the Town Council of Calafell approves unanimously of the Special Plan of Ordering of the Harbour of Calafell.
May 2003: The so wished Concession is obtained.
June 2003: The works of construction of the Harbour start.
25 June 2005: Officially opened the remodeling and expansion of the Port Segur-Calafell.
